DECEMBER ATLANTA BOOK CLUB: THE GRANTA BOOK OF THE IRISH SHORT STORY EDITED BY ANNE ENRIGHT

Join the UChicago Atlanta Book Club for a discussion of Irish short stories

Our December Book Club meeting is set for Sunday, December 3, at 5:30 PM. It will be hosted by Patrick Dogan at 370 Oakland Park SE, Atlanta GA 30312.
The club will be reading seven selected stories from The Granta Book of the Irish Short Story Edited by Anne Enright:

  • The Trout by Sean O’Faolain
  • Night in Tunisia by Neil Jordan
  • Sister Imelda by Edna O’Brien
  • The Key by John McGahren
  • A Priest in the Family by Colm Toibin
  • Midwife to the Fairies by Eilis Ni Dhuibhne
  • The Dressmaker’s Child by William Trevor

A word about food: we have agreed that the host for the month will prepare at least the main dish. When you RSVP to attend, please ask what you might bring (salad, dessert, wine, etc.). Of course, it is not required to bring something. We usually have more than enough to eat. We're looking forward to seeing everyone -- both new and returning members -- at the event!
Please remember to contact Patrick  (phd4212@gmail.com) and Pat (mpneedle@gmail.com) to confirm and to let him know what you might bring.
