Attend an exclusive meeting of the Board of Councilors at The Carter Center and hear President Carter speak

We have a unique opportunity to view the inner workings of The Carter Center advocacy programs.

The Board of Councilors meeting, which is held once quarterly on Friday mornings, begins with a light breakfast buffet. While dining, you'll be surrounded by Georgia's business leaders, policy makers, and movement builders. Soon after, we’ll move into the auditorium where delegations and guests from around the globe will be introduced. The meeting includes stellar presentations on The Carter Center's work in healthcare, peacekeeping, and democratic advocacy.

On the agenda for this meeting, Sarah Johnson and Beth Plachta, associate directors with the Democracy program, will report on a recent election in the Democratic Republic of Congo and then Hrair Balian, director of the Conflict Resolution program, will speak on the eight-year conflict in Syria. public portion of the event will then close after an address by former President Jimmy Carter. A second coffee and opportunity to tour the Jimmy Carter Museum will follow.

Truly a once in a lifetime event (unless you are on the Board of Councilors), this is not an opportunity to be missed!
